The electronic control unit and actuators of the electromechanical system

  Electronic Control Unit

The electronic control unit, also known as the ECU (Electrical Control Unit), is the core of mechatronic systems. It centrally processes, stores, computes, and analyzes sensor signals and external input commands, and, based on the results of this information processing, issues appropriate control signals at specified intervals and sequences to ensure the system operates in a targeted manner.

  Actuator

The function of an actuator is to drive the motion of mechanical components in response to commands from the electronic control unit. Actuators are moving parts that typically employ one of several drive methods, including electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuation.
